Regulation on the ban of imports of live animals, products and animal by-products for protection against the introduction of the Newcastle disease virus in the Republic of Macedonia originating in the United States.

This Regulation sets the trading ban on imports on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia of live animals, products and by-products of animal origin, if originating from the zone of Los Angeles (Los Angeles County), State of California (United States of America). This ban is established in order to protect the territory from the possible entry of the Newcastle disease virus.
The prohibition object of this text shall apply to the following consignments: poultry, such as chickens, turkeys, pearls, ducks, geese, carvers, pigeons, pheasants, partridges and ostriches (ratitae) reproduced or kept in a closed or enclosed space for breeding or storage for: breeding, production of meat or eggs for feeding or restoring game populations; hatching eggs, and eggs for incubation spilled from poultry; birds, and animals of the Aves class, with some exceptions ,see article 1 (paragraph 2) for details; consumer eggs from poultry and feathered game; egg products from poultry and feathered game; seeds for artificial insemination of poultry and feathered game; meat, minced meat, meat preparations and mechanically skimmed poultry meat and feathered game; meat products consisting of or containing meat of poultry and feathered game; by-products from poultry and feathered game.
Article 2 sets the list of hygienic and sanitary rules and procedures that, if respected, can make exceptions on imports.
