Regulation determining which agricultural and food products protected at the national and international level with the protection of their geographical name bearing the designation of origin or geographical indication and protection of the traditional name with the indication of guaranteed traditional specialty.

This Regulation here determines the list (type) of agricultural and food products that are protected at national and international level with related correct labels and marks (protected geographical name with designation of origin or geographical indication and protection of the traditional name with designation of guaranteed traditional specialty).
The list of possible protected foodstuff: fresh meat and meat products (cooked, salted, smoked, etc.); cheese; other products of animal origin (eggs, milk, various dairy products, except butter, etc.); oils and fats (butter, margarine, oil, etc.); fruits, vegetables and cereals, fresh or processed; fresh fish, molluscs, crustaceans and products derived therefrom; beer; and some spices and/or similar.
This Regulation also transposes the rules and principles contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1216/2007 of 18 October 2007 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 509/2006 on agricultural products and foodstuffs as guaranteed traditional specialty; and Commission Regulation (EC) No 1898/2006 of 14 December 2006 laying down detailed rules of implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 510/2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs.
