Abstract
This Law regulates the markets of agricultural products in terms of standards and quality, classification, labelling and quality information system (regarding the cereals and rice, animal feed, fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs and poultry, beef, pork, mutton and goat meat, milk and dairy products, bees), further including the issues for protection of agricultural and food products with a specific geographical name and designation (guaranteed traditional specialty or product), also defining the control, official inspections and supervision over the implementation of the provisions here provided.
The Law is divided into VI Chapters and 179 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette (and fully applied from 1 January 2013).
