Regulation on the format and content of zootechnical documents, as well as on the manner of filling of forms for issuance of zootechnical documents.

This Regulation determines the form and prescribes the necessary contents of zootechnical documents; and defines the manner for filling out the forms for issuing of such zootechnical documents. Zootechnical documents shall be filled in written and/or electronic form (designated forms are attached in the Annex of this text). The zootechnical document accompanying the breeding cattle shall contain the following data: - name of the recognized breeder's organization or approved institution (issuer of the zootechnical document); - name in the registry book; - registration number on the neck; - identification number on the throat (ear tag); - date of birth, race, gender; - name and address of the viewer; - name and address of the owner; - pedigree on the throat. This Regulation is harmonized with the Commission Decision 2005/379/EC on pedigree certificates and particulars for pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species, their semen, ova and embryos; Commission Decision of 10 May 1990 laying down methods for monitoring performance and assessing the genetic value of pure-bred breeding sheep and goats; Commission Decision 89/507/EEC laying down methods for monitoring performance and assessing the genetic value of pure-bred and hybrid breeding pigs; Commission Decision of 18 July 1989 laying down the certificate of hybrid breeding pigs, their semen, ova and embryos (89/506/EEC).
