Abstract
This Regulation prescribes various general and specific issues regarding the information (including marking, special labelling and other important declarations and/or warns) related to food, in order to offer/provide for a high level of consumer protection, also by taking into account the differences in perception of consumers and their needs to be informed, and at the same time ensuring the smooth functioning of the internal food market.
The rules provided by this Regulation are meant for food operators at all stages of production if their activities can affect the direct consumers.
This Regulation is aligned with the Council Directives related to the subject here defined.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
