Abstract
This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on waste management, prescribes the manner and conditions for waste storage, as well as the conditions that should be met by all locations where waste storage activity is performed. Waste intended for treatment, processing or disposal may be stored at the place of generation and/or at the designated place of storage on the site. The storage of non-hazardous and hazardous waste can be surface or underground. The surface storage of the waste can be in open or closed space. The open space can be with or without canopy, fenced or unenclosed space. The closed space is a construction object with adequate ventilation and system for detection and alarm depending on the type and amount of stored waste. Underground storage can be in underground or partially underground buildings or vessels (bunkers, tanks, etc.).
