Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the complete set of rules aimed at offering the measures of the protection of animal welfare during transport and related activities.
This text also sets the detailed conditions to be met by collection centers in relation to protection and animal welfare, various application forms and reporting sheets for animal handlers and carriers or performers of animal transport, the form and the content of the related electronic Registry, as well as the conditions for approving the authorization for subjects carrying out the necessary task in relation to the animal transport (including training on protection and welfare of animals and issuing of professional certifications).
The Annex is part of this publication (full set of technical parameters and administrative forms and sheets).

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

This Regulation harmonizes the national legislation with the provisions contained in Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 of 22 December 2004 on the protection of animals during transport and related operations and amending Directives 64/432/EEC and 93/119/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1255/97.
