Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the rules, correct technical and farming procedures, and manner for the performance of organic apiculture/beekeeping related activities and production (of deriving products) processes, as regards the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.
The major objective of this text is to impose the rules aimed at protecting the integrity of the organic approach in beekeeping sector; to impose specific disease and pest control issues; to impose the necessary hygiene-sanitary procedures such as disinfection.
This Regulation further transpose the principles contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 of 5 September 2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control (also for the standardization of CELEX no. 32008R0889).
