Regulation on rules and procedures in plant organic production.

This Regulation prescribes the rules and procedures for plant organic production on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, also related to the: necessary soil treatment, selection of plants and varieties, maintenance of fertility of the soil, use of fertilizers and soil improvers, use of plant protection products, use of techniques for plant production that prevents the possible pollution of environment.
As here defined, plant and/or vegetable organic production is possible only if performed exclusively on soil, without the use of hydroponics or other techniques that are not used in organic cultivation and organic production.
This Regulation further transpose the principles contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 of 5 September 2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control.
