Regulation on security measures for import and transit of domestic and foreign wild boar, seeds, eggs and embryos of pigs, pigmeat, products and preparations of pork, other products containing pork, as well as by-products from swine species in order to protect against the introduction of the African swine fever virus in the Republic Macedonia.

This Regulation sets the sanitary and health security measures for import and transit of domestic and wild boar, seeds, eggs and embryos of pigs or swine species, pork meat or swine products and preparations, other products containing pork, as well as by-products from pigs.
These measures shall be undertake in order to protect against the introduction of the virus called African swine fever in the Republic of Macedonia.
The prohibition of import and transit through the territory of the Republic of Macedonia shall apply to all wild boar animals, if originating in the areas listed in the Annex; wild boar meat, meat products from wild boars and other products containing meat derived from wild boar originating in areas listed in the Annex.
This Regulation also harmonizes the national legislation with the provisions contained in the 2014/709/EU: Commission Implementing Decision of 9 October 2014 concerning animal health control measures relating to African swine fever in certain Member States and repealing Implementing Decision 2014/178/EU.
