Abstract
This Regulation determines the specific requirements for the safety of natural mineral water, spring water and other packaged or bottled water intended for human consumption, in relation to the food safety rules and parameters.
This text provides for lists and specifications in relation to the natural physico-chemical, microbiological and radiological properties, hygienic issues and related inspections and standards used for analysis, and other, all aimed for natural mineral waters, spring water and other packaged waters approved by the national Food Agency, that are consumed, produced and/or imported.
This Regulation further harmonizes the national legislation with the provisions contained in Directive 2009/54/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 June 2009 on the exploitation and marketing of natural mineral waters; Commission Directive 2003/40/EC of 16 May 2003 establishing the list, concentration limits and labelling requirements for the constituents of natural mineral waters and the conditions for using ozone-enriched air for the treatment of natural mineral waters and spring waters; and Commission Regulation (EU) No 115/2010 of 9 February 2010 laying down the conditions for use of activated alumina for the removal of fluoride from natural mineral waters and spring waters.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Notes
The provisions of articles 12, 13, 14 and 15 of this Regulation shall be no longer in force on the date of accession of the Republic of North Macedonia into the European Union.
