Abstract
This Regulation provides the specific security (technological and chemical composition and performance provisions) requirements to be observed by the group of products and materials made from regenerated cellulose that are into direct contact with food (certain processing procedures; packaging and/or similar).
These rules will apply to regenerated cellulose film which comes into contact with food as the final product, part of the finished product also containing other materials.
These rules will not apply to synthetic casings of regenerated cellulose.
This Regulation is aligned with various Council Directives related to the subject here defined.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
