Examination of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 (L.N. 311 of 2018)

These regulations amend the Examination of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species Regulations (the principal regulations). In particular the following sub-regulations of regulation 1 are substituted: (2) concerning the scope of the regulations: to ensure that varieties of species of agricultural included in the relevant national catalogue comply with internationally recognised guidelines as regards the characteristics to be covered as a minimum by the examination and the minimum conditions for examining such varieties; to transpose the listed European legislation; (3) Regulation 2(1) of the principal regulations is reworded, and (4) Schedule I of the principal regulations listing the genera and species for which CPVO guidelines apply is substituted.
