Abstract
This Law, composed of 8 Chapters divided into 72 articles, specifies any activities related to the Petroleum sector, establishing the rights allocation system for carry out oil operations in Mozambique and beyond its borders, to the extent that is consistent with international legislation and as well as the use or consumption of petroleum. In addition, it defines the role of government, evaluation and promotion of access to oil resources and the principles of defending the national interests of fair indemnity, non-overlapping the rights, the involvement of communities, the workforce in the oil exploration activities and the promotion of national business, and specifically regulates the rights, duties and guarantees, ownership and control of oil resources, oil operations, direct investment, land and environment, as well as the explosives, equipment and radioactive substances.
