Abstract
This Act makes provision for the control on the good governance and administration of State-owned enterprises and makes provision with respect to measures to improve such enterprises including restructuring. The Act establishes the State-owned Enterprises Governance Council, which shall, among other things, develop principles of good governance and criteria for the measurement of performance of state-owned enterprises.

This Act amends other Acts relating to State corporations such as the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia Act, 2001, the National Heritage Act, 2004, the Meat Corporation of Namibia Act, 2001 and the Namibia Water Corporation Act 1997.
