Abstract
This Order, made under articles 1, 3, 13, 14 and 42 of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956, provides for measures to control rabies in animals in Jersey. “Animal”, means an animal belonging to any of the orders of mammals specified in Part 1 and 2 of the Schedule to this Order. Landing of animals requires a licence of the Minister. Animals may, upon arrival in Jersey, be detained and quarantined Other measures concern vaccination, control of animals after landing, quarantine and detention, authorizations in relation with movement of animals, action in case of illegal landing or breach of quarantine, destruction of animals, and measures of enforcement.
