Import and Export (Plant Health) Ordinance, 1982.

This Ordinance places restrictions on the importation of certain plants, plant products, plant pests and soil. The Schedules to this Ordinance list the materials and specify relative restrictions. The Ordinance prohibits also the landing of certain plant pests including pests which have been subjected to genetic manipulation or any genetically manipulated material. Plants, plant products, plant pests and soil for which restrictions are in place for importation from third countries shall, if origination from a Member State of the European Community other than the United Kingdom, be accompanied by phytosanitary certificates.
