Abstract
This Law, comprising 29 articles, mandates that practicing veterinary medicine or related professions requires a license from the competent authority, with applicants needing to submit the required documents. The authority is responsible for keeping records of licensed veterinarians and veterinary professionals. Veterinarians must adhere to international standards of ethics, traditions, and professionalism, practicing with precision, integrity, and making every effort to treat and care for sick animals, either aiding their recovery or easing their pain. The authority must publish information on notifiable diseases, and veterinarians are required to promptly report suspected cases, including the animal owner’s name and address. Veterinarians may only conduct experiments or research on animals with prior approval from the competent authority. Veterinary facilities must maintain detailed records of treated cases, including the owner’s information, animal type, procedures conducted, and outcomes. Veterinarians are liable for harm caused by ignorance of essential knowledge, negligence, or unapproved experiments. Establishing a veterinary facility requires prior licensing, with conditions, specifications, and provisions for license revocation set by the executive regulations. Relocating licensed facilities and storing veterinary products in clinics or hospitals is restricted to approved amounts, and housing sick animals is permitted only if the facility is adequately equipped and licensed according to regulatory standards.
