Order No. 9 on the protection and hunting of large whales.

The Order aims to ensure appropriate and biologically sound exploitation of fishing resources in regards to fishing and hunting. It applies to "great whales" (minke whales), fin whales, Greenland whales and other baleen whales, and sperm whales and applies to their limited capture within the pre-established period of April-December. These activities must adhere to hunting authorization license granted by the are subject to license authorization and under permission granted by the Department of Fishing, Hunting and Agriculture. The latter also establishes fishing/hunting methods approval.
