Tokelau (Exclusive Economic Zone) Fishing Regulations 1988, Amendment No. 1 (1989/268).

The principal Regulations are amended as follows: (a) every licence granted under regulation 6 or 7 of the principal Regulations in respect of foreign fishing craft will be subject to conditions that the craft may not use driftnets for fishing in the EEZ of Tokelau or have on board driftnets while being in the EEZ; (b) transhipment within the EEZ not carried out at the direction of an authorized officer shall be considered an offence; (c) having driftnets on board of a craft in the EEZ or territorial sea shall be considered an offence; (d) forfeiture is also possible for conviction of the above-mentioned offences.
