Abstract
This Regulation, implementing provisions of the Drinking Water Act and of the Drinking Water Decree, contains measures for regulating certain topics regarding the supply of drinking water, hot tap water and household water. The Regulation covers the following matters: duties of the owner of a drinking water company, including implementing the control measures for the installation of water supply systems; calculation of capital costs and taxes; circumstances requiring advice from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Market; monitoring and quality assurance of the drinking water; risk assessment with measurement programme for drinking water companies and collective water supplies, in order to control the presence of micro-organisms, parasites and other substances; provision of quality data; requirements and exemption to collect surface water used for the preparation of drinking water; conditions for the use of biocides in drinking water production and distribution.
