Abstract
The scope of this Act is to protect the public and the environment from accidents caused by fire or hazardous substances and other similar accidents (sect. 1).
The Act consists of 46 articles, divided into 8 Chapters: Introductory provisions (1); General duties (2); Duties and competences of municipalities (3); Duties in the working environment (4); requirements for products (5); Charges, compensation and refund (6); control, enforcement and sanctions (7); Final provisions (8).
Chapter 2 sets out general obligations of the public with regard to prevention of hazards. Chapter 3 concerns the creation and organization of fire brigades at local level.
