Abstract
The Regulation applies to Norway, including Svalbard, Jan Mayen and bi-regions thereof. The Regulation s purpose is to ensure the classification, labeling and packaging of hazardous substances by monitoring petroleum operations and other activities on-shore. In exceptional circumstances and provided no conflict arises with with the CLP Regulation or international agreements entered into by Norway, the supervisory authorities or ministries authorize exemptions from rules in this Regulation.
