Abstract
This Decree is composed of 12 sections divided into 5 Chapters: Application sphere (I); Prohibited fishing methods (II); Prohibition of fishing and conservation periods (III); Minimum size (IV); General provisions (V).
For all matters not regulated by the present Decree reference is made to fisheries regulations which apply to the economic zone for fishing by foreign vessels and fisheries regulations which apply to all marine waters including those not under Norwegian jurisdiction for fishing by Norwegian vessels. Chapter II regulates the use of catch gear according to fishing area, type of shellfish, and fishing season. Chapter III specifies prohibitions of fishing for single species in certain specified areas and for closed seasons for single species.
