Abstract
This Decree consists of 8 sections divided into 5 Chapters: Application sphere of the Decree (I); Handling of the case (II); Calculation and distribution of confiscated goods (III); Destination of the confiscated goods (IV); Entry into force (V).
This Decree of the Department of Fisheries makes provision for the confiscation of illegal catch and the assessment of the value of such catch by the Directorate of Fisheries or the landing and sale station concerned. The sales organization concerned shall notify the fisherman of the confiscation of the excess catch and of its value and shall retain the value of the confiscated goods in accordance with section 10 of Act No. 57 of 1972.
