Abstract
This Decree grants Sweden for 2009 the right to fish a specified total allowable catch south of 62nd parallel in a zone between the 12 and 200 nautical miles calculated from the baseline of Norway and west of a straight line between Lindesnes and Hansholmen of: cod, haddock, mackerel including bycatch, coalfish, whiting/pollack, industry fish including a bycatch of horse mackerel, herring, shrimps and other kind of fishes on a traditional scale. Bycatch of mentioned fish species shall be included in the quota. Bycatch of mackerel in herring fishing shall be limited to 10 percent. It is forbidden to catch mackerel smaller than 30 cm and herring smaller than 20 cm. Fifteen percent of undersized fish is allowed in the catch of mackerel and 10 percent of undersized fish in the catch of herring. The Director of Fisheries may issue directions regarding reporting. Offences shall be punished pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of Act No. 91 of 1976.
