Abstract
The Decree prohibits in general the fishing for cod in the North Sea south of 62 N and east of 4 W and outside the baseline in the Skagerrak in 2004. The Decree applies to an area of the Skagerrak which in the west limited by a straight line from Lindesnes to Hanstholmen and in the south by a straight line between the Skagen buoy and the Tistlarna buoy in the area 4 nautical miles away from the Swedish and the Danish baselines. However, section 3 allows a total catch by Norwegian vessels of 4.114 tons in the North Sea and 137 tons in the Skagerrak. To single vessels shall be allocated a catch quota or assigned participation in accordance with article 5. Remaining provisions concern powers of the Director of Fisheries, by catch, transfer of catch or quotas and penalties. (15 sections)
