Abstract
The Decree prohibits in general the fishing for plaice in marine areas comprising the Skagerrak and the area which in the west is limited by a straight line from Lindesnes to Hanstholmen and in the south by a straight line between the Skagen buoy and the Tistlarna buoy in the area 4 nautical miles away from the Swedish and the Danish baselines. However, section 2 allows a total catch by Norwegian vessels of 190 tons of which 90 tons as a group quota of vessels having obtained a beam ("bom") trawling licence pursuant to Decree No. 2185 of 1986 (sects. 2 and 3). Single vessels of this group may fish 35 tons (sec 4). Remaining provisions concern powers of the Director of Fisheries, including the power to stop fishing and to cancel group quotas (sects. 5 and 6), and penalties (sect. 7). (8 sections)
