Abstract
Apart from hygiene requirements for the production and offering of sale, excluding retail sale, of fresh poultry meat, this Decree specifies hygiene requirements for the storage and transportation of such meat and provides for the control of hygienic conditions. "Poultry meat" is defined in section 2 as all parts of farmed birds fit for human consumption. Section 3 contains general conditions for the placing on he market of poultry meat. Chapter II contains requirements with respect to the construction and the fitting out of premises used for the handling of poultry meat, including requirements regarding water supply (sect. 14). The remaining Chapters provide for: Special requirements regarding construction and equipment for poultry slaughterhouses (III); Special requirements regarding construction and equipment of storage facilities (IV); Special hygienic requirements for operations (V); Packing and wrapping up, storage and transport of fresh poultry meat (VI); Marking with stamps (VII); Special requirements regarding construction and equipment for operations with a limited capacity (VIII); Health control (IX); Ante-mortem inspection (X); Post-mortem inspection (XI); Administrative provisions (XII).
