Decree No. 388 of 2001 to regulate experimental fishing for blue whiting and anglerfish off the coast of the Faeroe Islands.

Section 1 prohibits in principal fishing for blue whiting and anglerfish with Norwegian vessels in the zone of the Faeroe Islands. Section 2 allows a total allowable catch of 75 tons of blue whiting with nets and 25 tons of anglerfish with nets. Section 2 deals with application for participation in fishing by vessels respectively maximum quotas for vessels which may be fixed by the Directorate of Fisheries. Section 7 gives powers to the Directorate to stop fishing if quota levels are reached. The Directorate may fix a last sailing date and establish further rules regarding reporting and other matters of practical character. (8 sections)
