Abstract
This Decree regulates the importation, exportation and placing on the market of animal proteins for the feeding of livestock animals. The aim of the Decree is prevent the transmittal of Spongiform Encephalopathy in livestock animals. Special provision is made for the use of fishmeal.
The Decree prohibits the trade in animal proteins as feed for ruminants and the feeding of animal proteins to ruminants. Certain animal feeding products such as milk and milk products, eggs and egg products, gelatine from other animals than ruminants, are excluded from the prohibition. Some provisions concern feed for aquaculture animals.
