Abstract
This Decree prohibits any fishing for or landing of bluefin tuna by Norwegian vessels in 2006. Exempted from this prohibition is the fishing of 100 tons of bluefin tune to be caught in the inner waters, territorial sea or EEZ of Norway in accordance with conditions set out in this Decree. The conditions concern the notification with the Directorate of Fisheries and subsequent approval. The Directorate of Fisheries may impose additional conditions concerning, among other things, the biological sampling of fish. Offences against these rules shall be punished pursuant section 53 of the Marine Fisheries Act and section 29 of the Act relative to the right to participate in fishery and hunting of marine animals.
