Abstract
This Decree lays down rules relative to the production and placing on the market of (imported) cheese as defined in article 1. All descriptions of cheese shall be approved by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. The Decree specifies descriptions for types of cheese and the characteristics of such cheese. Importers of cheese that shall be marked with an official sign shall be registered with the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. The Decree further provides rules relative to labelling of cheese.
