Abstract
This Decree deals in a comprehensive way with the production and offering for sale of meat and some other parts of animals intended for human consumption. The 15 Chapters include provisions relative to authorization of operations (II); general and specific hygiene requirements for production premises, water supply, equipment, etc (III to VI); hygiene requirements specifically for the processing of raw materials including fish (VII); Packaging, labeling etc. (VIII); marking of meat products (IX); storage and transportation of meat (X); special requirements relative to pasteurized or sterilized hermetically packed products (XI); special requirements relative to ready-made products based on meat (XII); importation from third countries to the EEA (XIV).
