Directive No. 777 of 1977 of relative to admission in fishing in temporarily blocked areas with cod trawlers on which sorting grates with distance between the ribs of at least 80 mm are installed.

This Directive of the Director of Fisheries applies to fishing with cod trawlers by Norwegians and foreigners. They apply to the areas specified in directive No. 502 of 1996 of the Director of Fisheries. Vessels with a sorting grate with a distance of 80 mm between the ribs shall be allowed to fish in areas which are blocked for other vessels because of the large amount of undersized fish in the catch. The sorting systems shall be constructed and installed according to requirements specified in Decree No. 502. (6 sections)
