Directive No. 502 of 1996 concerning the use of sorting grates in fishery with the use of cod trawlers (135 mm mesh size).

This Directive applies to fishing with cod trawlers by Norwegians and foreigners and in an area the coordinates of which are specified. A sorting grate with a distance of 55 mm between the ribs shall be compulsorily installed on cod trawlers. Sections 5 to 8 specify the types of sorting grates which may be used. Section 9 lays down special rules respecting the use of Russian trawlers with 4 panels. (11 sections)
