Abstract
The text of the Decree consists of 24 sections divided into 4 Chapters: Scope, application sphere and definitions (I); General requirements (II); Additional requirements for the importation from third countries (III); Final provisions (IV).
The Decree aims at the prevention of spreading diseases affecting pigs in relation with importation and exportation of boar seed. General requirements concern collection of seed by approved boar stations, supervision over such stations, requirements regarding boars, compulsory routine testing of stations, treatment and storage of seed, and health certificates. Chapter III contains specific requirements in relation with importation from countries other than EEA countries. (24 sections completed by 1 Schedule listing countries from which importation of boar seed is allowed)
