Abstract
It is prohibited to vessels flying Icelandic flag to fish in the EEZ and the fishery zone around Jan Mayen, between 12 and 200 nautical miles from the baselines. Nevertheless, it is permitted to Swedish vessels to fish in the Norwegian EEZ south of 62 N the following quota: 9 141 tons of cod and 2 742 tons of other bycatch species. This quota may only apply as by-catch when fishing for cod. Ban on fishing with meshed trawls and fishing for silver smelt and blue whiting with small-meshed trawls apply to specific areas (article 5), while ban on fishing with trawl mesh (120 mm) and fishing for silver smelt and blue whiting with small-meshed trawls applies to specific EEZ coordinates (article 5).
