Abstract
This Regulation provides that the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 136/2004 laying down procedures for veterinary checks at Community border inspection posts on products imported from third countries, being part of Chapter I and Annex I of the EEA Agreement shall apply in Norway with the adjustments and corrections as laid down in Protocol 1 of Annex I to the Agreement. Prior notification in the senses of article 2 of the Regulation may be done electronically through TRACES or in paper form. The Regulation further assigns regulatory and supervisory powers to the National Food Authority and prescribes that contravention of provisions of this Regulation or made under this Regulation shall be punished in accordance with section 28 of the Food Safety Act.
