Abstract
These Regulations, comprising 44 Articles and 2 Annexes, enforce the Consumer Protection Law to ensure consumer rights and safety. The main provisions include (i) Consumer Rights, which guarantee safe products, accurate information, and fair treatment. They can request replacement, repair, or refund for defective products; (ii) Supplier Obligations, which mandate product quality, accurate information, and respect for consumer rights. They are required to issue invoices in Arabic, with the option to include other languages; (iii) Products must meet specific quality standards and be free from defects. Misleading advertisements and counterfeit products are prohibited; (iv) Penalties for Violations, which outline consequences for suppliers who breach the Regulation including specific fines and penalties. Continuous violations may result in increased fines; (v) in case of disputes, consumers can seek resolution through the relevant administrative division.
