Abstract
This Act provides for the preservation, conservation and management of wildlife in Baluchistan.
The Government may establish a Wildlife Management Board and may impose restrictions on the hunting, import, export and transfer of wild animals, trophies and meat.
The Act prohibits the use of hawks or dogs without a special licence and sets out provisions on the possession of wild animals, trophies or meat and on the use of snares, traps and nets. The Government may declare any area to be a wildlife sanctuary, a national park or a game reserve. Unless in possession of a special authorization, the acts provided for in sections 15 to 17 shall be prohibited in the aforementioned areas.
The Act further provides for: offences and relevant penalties to be applied in case of contravention; powers of officers authorized by the Government to seize any wild animal, dead or alive; rule making powers of the Government; etc.
