Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Health is composed of the following sections: General provisions (sec. 1); Sweeteners (sec. 2); Colours (sec. 3); Food additives other than sweeteners and colours (sec. 4); Food additives used in the production of foodstuffs for infants and little children (sec. 5); Requirements concerning marking of food additives (sec. 6); Transitional and final provisions (sec. 7). The Regulation establishes: (1) allowed purposes of the use of food additives in foodstuffs; (2) technological functions of food additives; (3) the list of authorized food additives and detailed conditions of their use, including types of authorized foodstuffs and maximum limits; (4) detailed requirements concerning marking of food additives intended and not intended to the ultimate consumer.
