Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of six articles, establishes, in accordance with European Union legislation, criteria for assessing the occurrence of environmental damage in protected species or protected natural habitats, in waters and in the surface of land. The criteria for assessing the occurrence of environmental damage in the protected species is a change or changes causing one or more of the following measurable effects that have a significant adverse effect on the achievement or maintenance of proper protection status for these species: (1) destruction of a protected species habitat; (2) deterioration of the condition or function of the protected species population, consisting in particular of: (a) reducing the population size of protected species or reducing their density; (b) deterioration of the reproductive species population, their spread or deterioration of other vital functions; (c) an increase in mortality; (d) reducing the possibility of contact between the protected species population and neighboring populations.
