Regulation establishing criteria of environmental damage assessment.

This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of five paragraphs, establishes criteria for assessing the occurrence of environmental damage in protected species or protected natural habitats, in waters and in the surface of land. The criteria for assessing the occurrence of environmental damage in the protected species is a change or changes causing one or more of the following measurable effects that have a significant adverse effect on the achievement or maintenance of a favorable conservation status for these species: (1) destruction of a protected species habitat; (2) deterioration of the condition or function of the protected species population, consisting in particular of: (a) reducing the population size of the protected species or reducing its density; (b) deterioration of the reproductive species population, its spread or deterioration of other vital functions; (c) an increase in mortality; (d) reducing the possibility of contact between the protected species population and neighboring populations.
