Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Health, which is composed of 32 paragraphs and nine Annexes, concerns the quality of water intended for human consumption. The objective of this Regulation is to protect human health from the adverse effects of any contamination of water intended for human consumption by ensuring that it is wholesome and clean. These provisions establish: (1) bacteriological, physicochemical and organoleptic requirements for the quality of water; (2) evaluation methods of water usefulness; (3) minimum frequency of water testing; (4) the scope of water testing; (5) water quality monitoring program; (6) methods of controlling of materials and products used for treatment and distribution of water; (7) methods of controlling laboratories testing water quality; (8) methods of informing consumers about water quality; (9) procedure if water does not meet the requirements. These provisions do not apply to natural mineral waters, natural spring waters and medicinal waters.
