Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of 9 Chapters and 4 Annexes, establishes technical requirements for the monitoring of water chemical parameters. It specifies: legal regime for waste disposal, general requirements to be satisfied in conception, construction, exploration and other activities related to waste disposal, including technical specific characteristics for any class of waste. It implements EU Council Directive No. 1999/31, related to waste in landfill. This Decree-Law aims at reducing the negative effects on environment originated from waste disposal, in particular for matters related to superficial and underground water pollution, soil and atmosphere pollution and any other activity which may affect human health.
