This Order regulates the production and placing on the market of CAC fruit-tree propagative material ("Conformitas Agraria Communitatis"). It is divided into 6 Chapters dealing with: phytosanitary measures (controls by the Institute for the Protection of Agricultural Production IPPAA); producers' obligations [producers must carry out controls on CAC propagative material; basic criteria for such controls (art. 6)]; granting, suspension or revoking of licences for CAC propagative material (art. 7); general and specific production requirements (for example, CAC propagative material must be in good sanitary condition); official controls by IPPAA; restrictions on propagative material importation from EU countries; etc. This Order also prescribes producers' obligations related to imports. Three lists regarding fruit-tree species (Annex 1), fruit varieties and quality standards (Annex 2), harmful organisms and specific diseases (Annex 3) are annexed to the text.
