Abstract
This Decree, composed of eight articles and 11 Annexes, classifies the special protection zones in the Azores region. The objectives are: the conservation of all bird species referred to in the Decree-Law No. 140/99 and the migratory bird species; the management, protection and control of bird species in order to grant their survival and reproduction. Annexes 1-10 provide the coordinates of each protected area; Annex 11 lists the protected avifauna species.
