Abstract
This Law regulates the production of agricultural and other products when using methods such as organic production method/process (organic farming), including various aspect as goals and principles of organic production, organic production methods, official controls and certification process, processing and handling, labelling and marking, storage and transport, trade, import and export of organic products, as well as other issues of importance for organic production sector on the territory of the Serbian Republic.
The provisions and rules provided by this Law shall apply to all products originating in all phases of organic crop and livestock production, including aquaculture animals and organisms, when these products are intended for trade (organic production products and goods), as follows: primary agricultural products; processed agricultural products for use as food; feed; seeds, seedlings and planting material; yeasts used as food and feed.
The products obtained by hunting wild animals and fishing are not considered products of organic production.
The Law is divided into 9 Chapters and 51 articles, including the offences and related penalties.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, and it will be fully implemented after 1 January 2011.
