Law of the RSFSR No. 1490-I on priority provision of the agro-industrial complex with the material and technical resources.

This Law establishes legal and economic bases of the priority of the agro-industrial complex as regards its provision with the material and technical resources under conditions of the passage to the market commodity-money relations. This Law is aimed at the protection of the interests of the agro-industrial complex in the Russian Federation. This Law applies to collective farms, state farms, tenants, cooperatives, scientific, educational institutions, planning and design offices, processing, engineering works, maintenance and repairs shops, construction and other enterprises and organizations of the agro-industrial complex. Agro-industrial complex has priority for obtaining export licences. Producers of agricultural commodities and fish products in case of carrying out export operations shall have preferential rates of currency revenues to the National Currency Fund (art. 4). Crediting of manufacturers of agricultural equipment carrying out state purchase order for the delivery of equipment to agro-industrial complex shall be carried out on preferential terms (art. 7). The Law consists of 4 Sections composed of 8 articles. Section 1 (art. 1) lays down the general provisions. Section 2 (arts. 2-4) establishes organizational measures for the priority provisions of the agro-industrial complex. Section 3 (arts. 5-7) regards economic measures for the priority provisions of the agro-industrial complex. Section 4 (art. 8) determines legal backing for the priority provision of the agro-industrial complex.
